He belonged to a political party called Graduated Old Student Democratic Association (GOSDA).
He was arrested for the first time on June 20, 1989. He was given 7 years imprisonment. After his released, he still continue his advocacy for restoration democracy. He then became one of the 88 Generation Students' leaders.

He was arrested on August 21, 2007 at his home.
