Myint Aye- Former Political Prisoners

U Myint Aye is a son of U Maung Sein and Daw Thein Mya, No.3,Yay Dwin Gone(2) Street, KyiMyinDine, Rangon, lives. He was born in 1950 and he is their second son. He involved in U Thant Uprising in 1974 actively while he was studying Physic at the Yangon University. He again involved actively in the 1988 pursing as well.

He got married with Daw La\ La\ Win from Tharpound Township while he was studying at the University of Foreign Language in 1989. He was chairman of National League for democracy, Kyint Myint Tying in 1997 and he worked the best for his party and Burmese people. He formed Yangon NLD and put up the NLD, Yangon sing-post as his party extension.
After De Pay Yin case, he leaded the Youth and did some party activities while the party works were discontinued. The main activities were : he collected the youth and elders to salute 2003 National day on Swe Ti Gon pagoda and they march from Swe Ti Gon pagoda to Tharthana Gonyang Temple, around Ngathet Gyi where the National day event. He leaded the youth to distribute books about Human Rights on a year De Pay Yin anniversary.
He leaded to travel around from his house to Swe Toun Gone Temple for the full moon day of November 2003 and did the fish exemption on the Buddhish New year. He donated rice and clothes in Kyoun Pyo Town (Taninthayi division), Then tapin Town (Yangon division), Pago Town (Pago division)'s floating. He work a lot for his party and people there for he could be faced with the military intelligence to be in trouble. He was lacked as being a member of the partying 2005 February because he was out of the party principle.
He is a promoter for Human Rights in the whole Burma 2005. He talked about Human Rights from HRs Declaration by United Nation and discussed about Human Rights experience with the Youth. He was invited to promote and explain about Human Rights and the Birth Rights in Irrawady divison, Rangoon division, Ma Kyew division, Pago division, Shan state and Kachin state.
The authority detained three student leaders on 27/9/2006. There for he made a statement on this case with other ten people on 29/9/2006, the statement said that it is illegal to detain the student's leaders under law. They made this statement as promoters for Human Rights in Burma. SB Aung Kyaw Oo and Lt. Aung Aung Myint from West Yangon division came and took him to discuss with upper authoritarians on 30/9/2006 at 10:15 am.
He was arrested 24 August, 2007 at home.
