He was an activist of 88 Democracy uprising, even though he was an officer of Forestry as a Government servant. In 1997, He was arrested by MI due to involve his partners connected with ABSDF, and sentenced 7 years in Insein prison. He was also move to Tharawaddy prison later. After He was released from jail at mid 2004, his exercise to be free expression was only one man demonstration in front of UNDP in Burma. The result to him was given 2 years imprisonment again by the Act of 505(B) from Insein to Moulmein Prison. After stronger political prisoner was free from jail again, he joined to the same color group of Ko Htin Kyaw’s demonstration in near Theingyizay Market in Rangoon on Feb 2007. He was holding the poster included six demands these were to free from lowest country, to form Representative Government, to have a chance of self decision for future, to throw away all Dictators, to invite UN’s Commission to be charged, and to win Democracy. The Title was “Today People Chant”.
He was usually detained , forth times of arrested was 22 April 2007 to 26 June 2007. According to Burma update 103, 23 August 2007, “was arrested again by the authority this afternoon shortly after staging solo protest in front of US Embassy
in Rangoon around 1.20pm today on 23 August 2007.
He was holding the placard reading as below.

Appeal to military and police personels
1. Protect lives of the people as your duty
2. Protect the integrity of Tatmadaw as a dignified institution
3. Stand up for the people and fight against the dictators
4. Defy any orders from military dictators to depose the “King”
5. Fulfill the will of the people by establishing a peoples’
government
6. Oppose veto of China and Russia to save our country.

He was dragged into a white-colored Toyota Publica (No. S 1016) [" 1016 ]
by a group of police and plaincloth security agents and then brought to
Botahtaung Township Police Station.
