Poun-Zan,
Position 3
All political prisoners are taught how to assume the poun-zan
positions when they first enter the prisons in a seperate room
of each prison. There are three regular poun-zan positions,
and one that is used for punishment.
The position
illustrated here is assumed when a political prisoner walks
past or stands in front of an authority.
All
photos are reenactments and are available to journalists or
others interested in writing about political prisoners in Burma
without copyright.
