Data and information of political prisoners in Burma can be seen
in
Burmese on the internet.
Today, the web site of Assistance Association
for Political Prisoners
(Burma) (AAPP) launches also in Burmese language.
www.aappb.net is the address.
AAPP's web pages are contained with data and information, such
as articles, photos, list related to prisons and political prisoners
in
Burma.
About the upgrading the websites, Tate Naing, secretary of AAPP
said, "At the present time, internet is very practical to
deliver the
information. Millions of Burmese are now in outside Burma and
getting familiar with web pages. Some of them prefer to use
Burmese language when they search the information. It's also one
reason why we have Burmese and English version in our website."
AAPP web site was started in December 2001.
Former Burmese political prisoners on Thai-Burma border founded
AAPP on March 23, 2003. Burmese version website is launched on
AAPP’s fourth anniversary day.
